KEYNOTE #1
serious play • letting go of perfectionism by embracing a spirit of play
Embracing a spirit of play is the portal to creating your most authentic work and overcoming perfectionism…
We are all stunted by perfectionism. We’ve unintentionally breathed in and believed the lie that our worth is based on what we produce. Based on our success, achievements and possessions. Efficiency, productivity and outward perception are our focus. We set an end goal, and everything that happens leading up to that goal is merely a means to an end. Even if you sacrifice everything, including yourself, in the process.
In my work serving thousands of entrepreneurial-minded women, I see time after time that we have been conditioned to find our worth in what we produce, which manifests itself in perfectionism, individualism and binary thinking.
We’ve forgotten our child-like ability to get curious, embrace wonder, collaboration and play… and its not only stunting our ability to connect with our true selves, but it’s stopping us from creating our most genuine, authentic work in the world.
I'm here to teach you all about embracing a spirit, a mindset of play and how it can lead you to creating your most authentic, genuine and impactful work in the world.
YOUR AUDIENCE WILL LEARN:
What perfectionism is and how to spot it
Why perfectionism stops us from creating our best work
How embracing a spirit of play will protect you from burn out & fuel your creative passion
Why a spirit of play is the answer to accessing creativity & authenticity
How a spirit of play can lead you to creating your most authentic, impactful work
KEYNOTE #2
the process is the point
Learning to see work not as a career, but how we find and create meaning in the world
Western culture has told us that our career has a linear path. That our worth is based on how far, deep and wide we can stretch ourselves. We constantly feel behind, measuring ourselves up against a non-existent map that has told us where we should be and what milestones we should be hitting at certain times in our lives.
What if flipped this idea on its head? What if, instead of measuring ourselves against a linear path, we instead viewed our work as an expansion of ourselves? What if the GOLD lies not in the outcome, but rather in the lessons learned along the way? What if work wasn’t a career, but rather how we find and create meaning in the world? What if our work could be our gateway to a deeper connection with ourselves and each other? What if our work wasn’t centered around outcomes and efficiencies, but rather a portal to self-discovery?
YOUR AUDIENCE WILL LEARN:
How to stop feeling behind and start enjoying where you are today
How to prevent burnout before it starts
Why being tied to the outcome actually stops us from getting things done
How to stop overthinking and start building a life you love
KEYNOTE #3
we need each other • moving out of toxic individualism
Why engaging in community with yourself and others is the key to furthering the common good
These days, you could work, go grocery shopping, eat from your favorite restaurant and engage in endless amounts of entertainment all without leaving your home, and oftentimes, without talking to another person.
Our siloed lifestyles have made us more afraid and nervous than ever to open up, speak about our challenges, ask for help, lean on others and do life with other people (outside social media!). Our individualistic culture has told us we have to do it all, all by ourselves.
With years of experience leading community and facilitating community small groups, Joanna has seen the power of community and connection with other humans first hand, and the wounds that toxic individualism have left us with.
When we engage in community, we’re able to get out of our heads and into our meaningful work. We’re able to fuel our creativity by experiencing other perspectives. We up our capacity for discomfort and find a new comfort and awareness in who we are. We ultimately feel more connected to our humanity and the humanity of others. When we name and work through our individualistic conditioning, it is then we can come together to further the common good.
YOUR AUDIENCE WILL LEARN:
How the need to perform is stopping us from engaging in authentic connection
Why getting more comfortable with discomfort opens up new worlds of possibility
To see the lies we’ve been breathing in around individualism
Why speaking your challenges out loud breaks down mental walls and creates forward movement
